CLEAN UP YOUR LENSES

At the beginning of the year, prophecies, sermons, dreams, words of encouragement, were given as 2020, the year of clear vision. People got motivated expecting something big to happen; something good, in their view and perspective. But not many prophesies about how this would be the year of 2020 vision, how people would start seeing clear or how this year would bring a new vision into people’s lives.

Less than three months ago, everyone was holding onto that promise to persevere and keep moving into the unknown plan, a big, perfect vision (that in itself sounds contradictory). How can you walk towards something that you don’t know?

Nowadays, I think “2020 Vision” terminology got quickly replace with sermons, words of encouragement on how to deal with Fear and keep our faith growing in times like this. Others are talking about provision and protection for those who believe; others are using this opportunity to talk about God stating “why should we fear a virus when there are far greater things to fear like eternal judgement?”  Don’t take me wrong, maybe all of that needs to be said for different audiences and perhaps what I am writing is for another portion of them, you as a reader can decide what is speaking to you most and what can serve God the most.

During prayer time, I felt God saying that this is a season to be able to have “20 20 vision” it is time to have a different vision, clean up your spiritual lenses, your filter, your eyes and start seeing God’s vision.

Some people talk about isolation as if it is the worst thing that could ever happen to them; why? (Not referring to the increased numbers of individuals in financial difficulties and the growing number of domestic violence cases being reported during this time). Instead, I am referring to the mind and heart of people, when all the distractions, the unnecessary thoughts, get taken away from them.

Why it is so hard to be in a place, time or space when we can look around, inside and outside to check, analyse, stop and think what is truly important in our lives? To stop and think, what is it that you are serving most? What are our treasures and our idols? What can we let go of? And what we haven’t let go of because we simply don’t want to? what is the real usage of our time? And in all of this, where is God sitting in our life? In everything we do what is serving, pleasing and working for the kingdom of God?

In this time you can decide whether your schedule gets full with, watching endless news about our current situation, or social media to “stay connected” ( like if that is a real connection). Are you sitting on your couch watching TV as now finally have the time to catch up on that series that you haven’t been able to see and you finally got some rest? Or do you find yourselves busy with all the house chores, shopping, emails, phone calls etc. that have now become important like they weren’t two weeks ago. Are you using this time to clean up your spiritual eyes? To fix your eyes on God? Get connected to Him, allow Him to open your eyes and ears to do what He is calling you to do and to see the vision. The perfect vision that He created for you since the beginning of time but the world around you has consumed you a bit, and you have been too distracted to see it.

Why not use this time to show who you are in Christ and get your clear vision once and for all. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by, this is not about 2020 vision, your vision has always been there. 2020 is a reminder that we can all have a clearer vision if we will only seek and live according to His will.

Today, start to clean up your spiritual lenses and ask God what His vision for you is? Where does He want you to move? Connect to Him, serve Him, honour him, and bring His kingdom to his people.

He can use this time to raise up evangelists that won’t be afraid to walk on the streets; people with a gift and a heart for healing that will go and pray for the sick; prophets that will bring words that will allow people to declutter and see over the top of the mountain; pastors that will walk with those who don’t know what’s happening with them, when God touches their hearts or being there for those who are needing spiritual healing; teachers to influence those around them; apostles that will move countries, unify movements and bring restoration to the church of God; and use every single one of His sons and daughters with their unique gifts to raise and build up His church and His Kingdom.

Are you allowing God to move in your life? Or are your eyes too foggy to see His call?

Well then; come to him and let him be sovereign over every situation in your life and surrender ALL in prayer and let Him open your eyes to see and take this opportunity to do some cleaning up and get your 2020 vision ready, because He is ready to move, not after the crisis but now, so are you ready?

  1. May I simply say what a relief to uncover somebody that really understands what theyre discussing over the internet. You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people really need to check this out and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that youre not more popular because you certainly have the gift.
